My hope is that we can co-create a space where you feel truly heard. No judgement, no pressure, just a supportive place to untangle thoughts, explore emotions, and move toward the life you want
Im David, a qualified integrative counsellor. Warm, down-to-earth, and approachable, I hope to make you feel comfortable and understood from our very first conversation.
About me and my practice
I have always been deeply committed to understanding, empathy, and non-judgement.
With years of experience in pastoral and creative roles across different spaces, my journey into therapeutic training was a natural extension of my core beliefs and passion for working with and supporting people.
I have extensive training and experience in working with difference with clients from diverse backgrounds and cultural heritages.
As a white male, I believe it is essential for my clients to know that I actively acknowledge and reflect on my own position of power and privilege. I am committed to ongoing self-awareness and ensuring that my perspective does not overshadow the unique experiences of those I work with.
Experience
I have a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) who's ethical framework I diligently adhere to.
I've also had therapy myself over a number of years, so I know personally how brave and yet transformative it can be for you.

Initial Consultation
I offer a free 30 minute consultation to see if we could work well together and for you to decide if it's the right thing.
Sessions are 50 minutes and take place weekly at the same time and place. If your sessions are in person, please arrive at your appointment time and not before.
I offer in person sessions at Rooms for Therapists on Northcote Road & Battersea Rise SW11, and also provide online sessions.
In your free consultation we will discuss what brings you to therapy, I will explain a bit about how I practice and answer any of your questions, whether that's about confidentiality, how therapy "works" or any of your others thoughts or concerns.
The space and time is completely yours, even from our consultation session.
